Book Resort World Sentosa Hotels For Countdown

Some of you may still be planning for the big countdown to 1 Jan 2012. Just in case if you are still considering whether you should book Resort World Sentosa Hotels for countdown 2011/2012, I am afraid you are in for disappointment.

Why did I say so?

Recently, I am also searching for the countdown venue and felt that going to Universal Studios Singapore is a great choice.

At Universal Studios Singapore, you can go for a full day of fun rides. At night, there will be fireworks. The fireworks is usually at 10 p.m. but during last year countdown, the firework is scheduled to celebrate the countdown.
Isn’t this great ?  Car park at Resort World Sentosa is S$26 for 24 hours parking. Admission tickets on 31 Dec 2011 is still available.

However, what happen after the countdown? Kind of tired to squeeze for a ride home. One of the ways is to book a hotel night stay at the various Resort World Sentosa hotels such as Festive Hotel , Hard Rock Hotel and Hotel Michael.

Hotel packages (e.g. 3 Day 2 Night Ultimate Fun) are not available during super peak and black out dates such as 31 December.So you can forget about waiting for some year end countdown hotel package to be out.

A check with Resort World Sentosa indicates that they are well booked on 31 December 2011 for the above mentioned hotels. So that goes any chance to stay in these hotels after the countdown.

What other choices? There are! You can still check out the other hotels in Sentosa. One of the available hotels (which I check on 17 Sept 2011) is Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa. Be prepared to fork out SGD360 per night for its entry level deluxe room with no breakfast. Shangri-la Sentosa hotel is fully booked too. Another affordable alternative is Siloso Beach Resort, which pricing is inclusive of breakfast.

So we learned something here. Just forget about getting the cheapest deal during black out period like Christmas and year end countdown. If you really have to had a memorable celebration, book the hotels once dates are opened. It could even be 6 months ahead.

Let me scout for more ideas on countdown parties in Singapore to share with you. At the mean time, for those who are thinking of having fun at Universal Studios Singapore, go and book the admission tickets first before it is sold out!
