Beware of Scam In Bangkok
Posted by: | CommentsHi friends,
Although Thai people are friendly, but do be on guard against Thai who appears to be very friendly. Beware of gem scam in Bangkok.
In our last trip to Bangkok back in 2009, I remembered shopping around Pratunam area. Hubby and I went into a shop and the shop owner started chatting with us.
Airport Transportation In Bangkok
Posted by: | CommentsHi Friends,
Recently I did a short getaway to Bangkok with hubby. I had two bad experiences with airport transportation in Bangkok. Before I forget about it, I better share my experiences, which involved taking taxi to/from airport to hotel.
The hotels typically charge baht 800 to baht 1000 for airport transfers per trip. However, a taxi ride cost around baht 350 to baht 450. Hence, we decided to hail a cab from the airport instead.
4 Days 3 Nights Bangkok Travel Budget
Posted by: | CommentsHi Friends,
It is fun to plan your own free and easy trip to Bangkok. If you wonder how you can start planning your Bangkok trip, you can take some suggestion from my 4 Days 3 nights Bangkok Travel Itinerary. But how much should is this 4 Days 3 nights Bangkok travel budget?
You can break down the Bangkok travel budget into:
1) Airfare
Since Bangkok is just a 2 hrs flight away from Singapore, I think taking budget airline is good enough. There are a couple of budget airlines you can check out such as AirAsia, Jetstar, Tiger Airways and Scoot.
On a budget airline, you can get a return airfare (without check in luggage and food) at SGD185/pax.
If you can splurge a little, you can opt for Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific which return economy airfare costs around SGD 280/pax. Of course, food and luggage is included.
Bangkok Itinerary 4 Days 3 Nights (Part 4)
Posted by: | CommentsHi Friends,
Today is the last part of my Bangkok itinerary 4 Days 3 nights (Part 4).
I don’t want to plan too much activities on my last day since I still have a catch my flight in the afternoon.
So what can I do on this last day?
Perhaps I should go shopping? Sounds good except most shopping centers are opened in late morning and I probably do not want to go shopping with my luggage around.
Perhaps I can just spend a day to swim at the hotel and rest there till is time to go to the airport. But wouldn’t that be too wasteful? Come on, this is my last day in Bangkok and I must think hard if I miss out any important tourist attractions!
My mind suddenly recall that I should visit Grand Palace early in the morning. Grand Palace is opened at 8.30 a.m. and closes around 3.30p.m.
