It is time to prepare for Natas Fair 2012 because you have to start hunting the best Natas Travel promotions!

Natas Fair is organized by Natas Association of Travel Agents of Singapore. Each year, there is two Natas travel fair, one held in February and one held in August.

What Can You Find At Natas Fair?

Almost all Singapore tour agencies are participating in these two major travel fair. Some of these brands include familiar names like Chan Brothers, Dynasty Travel, Five Star Tours, CTC Holidays, ASA Holidays, SA Tours and etc.

Besides tour agencies, you will find tourism boards participating in Natas Fair. They are one of the main reasons for me to check out the travel fair. I can just go up to them to ask them about their countries so that I can plan my free and easy travel.

Oh yes, I nearly forget to highlight that you can also the major banks there. Swipe your credit cards for the purchase of tour packages and redeem free gifts like luggage and etc.

To have a peace when traveling, you have to check out the offers by Travel Insurance companies like Chartis, TravelJoy and etc. There are usually discounts up to 40% at Natas Fair. We do recommend that you take up travel insurance, especially for long haul journeys where the travel packages are more expensive. Just in case the travel agency close shop, you can still claim back the amount you pay.

During Natas Fair in February, you will find travel packages up to July. As for Natas Fair in August, you will find travel packages up to Dec. Admission fee is usually at $4 per adult. If you pay by Mastercard, there is usually a discount.

Lets recap some interesting happenings in the recent Natas Fair held in August 2011:-

1) Travel sales hit all time high of S$100 million

2) Favorable exchange rates against US Dollar and Euro spur takings up of travel packages to US and Europe

3) The five top travel destinations taken up were China, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe and Japan

Japan has suffered from a significant drop in travel due to the earthquake and Tsunami in Mar 2011. However, over the months travel bookings have returned to Japan. I believe this has a lot to do with the help from Japan Tourism in promoting travel to Japan.
