Hi Friends,
For travelers visiting Korea, I am writing a series of posts on my suggested itinerary for a 8 days 6 nights Korea & Jeju travel.
Itinerary forĀ Day 1 (Click here )
Itinerary For Day 2:-
Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport at Seoul, make your way to Korea’s famous Mount Sorak National Park.
Mount Sorak National Park
Subject to weather conditions, ascend to the summit of Mount Sorak by cable car. Along the way, take a peek at the beautiful scenery.
Autumn is the most beautiful season to visit Mount Sorak. The autumn colors in the area, red and yellow forest, are considered amongst the most beautiful in Korea.
During winter, however, the summit of Mount Sorak is bitter cold.
Shinheungsa Temple
After Mount Sorak, stop at Shinheungsa temple, which is a historical monument constructed during the Shilla era.
Shinheungsa is located just 10 minutes walk from the cable car ticket counter at Mount Sorak.
Mineral Hot-spring Pools
In the evening, relax at the mineral hot-spring pools at the spa resort.
Travelers can stay at spa resorts such as Sorak Sun Valley or Sorak Damyung Resort.
Going for a hot spring in Korea and Japan is really an experience. You are supposed to cleanse your body first before you dip yourself in the hot spring.
For in-door hot spring, there are several pools with varying temperatures.
The most difficult part is to be naked in front of other people. But trust me, no one actually stars at you or your figure. To the Koreans, they are so used to soak themselves in hot spring. You will find daughters and mothers soaking together and scrubbing each other back when they bath.
Once you experience the hot spring, you will love it !
At night, enjoy a family chat in your room.
Keep tune for day 3 in Korea, coming up soon!
Cheers
Karen
