Louis Vuitton Bags In Korea

During my recent Korea trip, I visited the Louis Vuitton (LV) boutique to find out the handbag prices there.

The above Louis Vuitton Neverfull handbag is quoted at Won 970,000. At the exchange rate of S$1 : Won 810, this handbag will cost you about S$1198.  However, after claiming for tax refund of 7%, the handbag will cost S$1120

In Singapore, the same handbag costs S$1180.

The Louis Vuitton Speedy handbag is quoted at Won1,000,000 (yes $1 Millon) in Korea. Converting at S$1: Won 810 (the average exchange rate in Dec 2009), the Speedy handbag will cost you about S$1234 before claiming for tax refund.

Speedy costs around S$1250 in Singapore.

As the price savings in Korea is not huge, I decided that buying the Louis Vuitton handbags in Singapore will guarantee that I can get local service support if necessary.

Still keeping my handbag budget, and searching for the right place to buy it.
