Luxurious Coach From Singapore To Malaysia

By

Tags: , ,

Hi Friends,

If you plan to travel from Singapore to Malaysia, coach can be a preferred option especially when the alighting point is right at the hotel in Malaysia. This saves you the hassle and cost of transferring from airport to hotel in Malaysia. And whats more is you can also have the choice to take a luxurious coach from Singapore to Malaysia!

Luxury Coach from Singapore to Malaysia

At the recent Travel Malaysia Fair held in October 2011, I chanced upon Transtar Travel which displays its Solitaire coach.

Of course, we went up to take a look. There are only 14 seats in a Solitaire coach, so you can imagine it is more spacious than the usual coach you see. The Solitaire luxurious coach is only available for routes from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur or Genting.

What caught our attention is besides entertainment system, spacious seating, the Solitaire coach also serves meals on the coach. It is trying to provide something extra as compared to the budget airlines for short haul flights.

Is such coach expensive? The general pricing of Solitaire coach for one way  is SGD58 during low season , SGD 63 during peak season and SGD92 for super peak season. I see that the pricing is close to that of a budget airline if you add in the airport taxes and the airport transfer.

A check on Jetstar Airways, one of the budget airlines for flight bookings in January 2011 (non peak season), without check in luggage shows a price of SGD 89.90 (departure trip) and SGD 62.00 (return trip). This pricing has not include the airport transfer fee to hotel.

I am looking forward to try an experience on Transtar Solitaire coach one of the days. I am rather afraid of the coach distance from Singapore to Genting. Seem so long process and seats are not so comfortable as compared to plane. But maybe the next time will be different..

Cheers,
Karen
