With the plan of traveling to Macau in July, I am also researching about Macau food. Being a food lover, I will go for the local food. Look at my list of Top 10 must taste Macau food!
NO 1 MACAU FOOD – PORK CHOP BUN
A pork chop bun is one of the most famous and popular snacks in Macau.
The bun is extremely crispy outside and very soft inside. A freshly deep-fried or pan-fried pork chop is filled into the bun horizontally.
Find pork chop bun at following eateries:-
1) Restaurant Victoria on Rua dos Mercadores located in central Macau
2) Lau Kei Restaurant on Avenida do Conselheiro Borja located in northern Macau
NO 2 MACAU FOOD – PORTUGUESE EGG TART
Portuguese egg tart is a traditional Portuguese custard pastry which consists of custard in a creme brulee like.
The Portuguese egg tarts known in Macau first originated from Lord Stow’s Café in Coloane, owned by a Briton named Andrew Stow.
The most famous shops selling portuguese egg tarts are:-
1) Margaret’s Cafe e Nata
- Close to Hotel Sinta
-Address is Edifício Kam Loi, Nam Van, Macau
-Opening Hours: Daily 06:30 – 20:00, closed on Wednesday
2) Lord Stow’s Bakery
- Located at Coloane Village
-Address is 1 Rua da Tassara, Coloane Island, Macau
-Opening Hours: Daily 07:00 – 22:00, except Wednesday 07:00-18:00
NO 3 MACAU FOOD – DIM SUM
Yes, I know…. I am suppose to get Dim Sum in Hong Kong.
But… people say Macau does serve good dim sum too.

2) Grand Lisboa hotel located in Macau Peninsula
3) Westin Resort Macau hotel in Coloane
