NATAS Fair 2009 – Winter Time Promotion

Hi Friends,

Today is the last day at NATAS Fair 2009. If you are heading for a winter holidays, please remember to check out the Winter Time sale at the NATAS Fair.

This is what I have gathered about the sales at Winter Time:-

1) Recently, Winter Time published on newspaper about its winter clothes sales up to 70% expiring on 31 August 2009 (that is tomorrow).

2) At NATAS Fair, Winter Time is giving the following promotions:-

a) Buy 5 items, Free 1 (Lowest Price Item)

Assuming, you are buying 6 items of the same amounts, the effective discount rate is 16.67%

However, if your purchase of descending amount S$, the effective discount rate is lower than 16.67%

There is also a 10% discount storewide for the regular items.

b) Buy Winter Time vouchers

Every S$500 vouchers will entitle you another S$100 vouchers.

This means you can effectively achieved 16.67% discount.

These vouchers can be used at any Winter Time outlets but not at NATAS Fair. 

The vouchers are valid for 1 year and can be used to purchased discounted items as well.

More new winter clothes designs will be arriving at Winter Time outlets in Oct- Nov period.

3) Winter Time Outlet Sales

A check at Winter Times outlets on 30 August 2009 (Saturday) revealed the following winter clothes sales:-

a) Items up to 70% discount ( as per published) are limited.

We found some winter sweater (you won’t find 100% cashmere or 100% wool winter sweater on the sales rack) orignially priced at S$59 going at S$18.

Children ski pants originally priced S$39 going for S$18

b) Regular Items – 2nd Items 30% discount

However the good news is there is a storewide 30% discount on the 2nd piece of regular winter clothes items.

For example, if you are buying the 1st set of  long john set at $59, you can purchase the 2nd set at $41.30.  This gives you an effective 15% storewide discount.

Now, this is my recommendation. Get the Winter Time vouchers at NATAS fair so that you can immediately 16.67% discount. Then visit the Winter Time outlets to get another 15% discount (1st item no discount while second item 30% discount).

To stretch your discounts further, remember to ask the Winter Time staff to write on your receipt that these vouchers at NATAS Fair are also entitled to 10% discount on regular items at the outlets.

If you ask whether you should wait after August to see if further discounts will be offered, I really don’t have any answer. I can only say a check on past Winter Time sales revealed that it usually gives up to 10% storewide discounts. Other forms of steep discounts like up to 70% are only on selected items.

But what I can conclude is if you are heading for a winter holiday and you must get some winter clothes for yourself and family, then do check out the Winter Time vouchers at NATAS Fair.
