Package Tour From Singapore To Finland
ByTags: Finland, Package tour to finland
Hi Friends,
Recently, my hubby and I are shopping around People’s Park Complex. We went into Five Star Tours and pick up a brochure which we both find the tour pretty interesting. This interesting tour is none other than package tour from Singapore to Finland where you can spend your Christmas in winter wonderland!
It has never cross my mind that Finland is such an interesting travel destination. But after reading the itinerary and finding out about the local activities at Finland, I am excited to plan a trip there in the near future.
Allow me to share what I found out about Finland.
Igloo Village
When I think of Igloo, I think of my primary school textbook. I never really think so much on being able to experience staying in a Igloo one day.
During winter time, temperature in Finland drops to below zero. Igloos are made from thermal glass, so it keeps guests warm in Arctic conditions. The glass igloos offers a panoramic view of the night sky and is an excellent way to view the Northern Lights.
Alternatively, you can also choose to sleep in Igloos made of snow, but you are kept warm and snug in padded sleeping bags.
Ice Gallery
Like Harbin, Finland also has ice sculptures to admire.
You will be amazed by the ice cravings at the Ice Gallery. Thereafter enjoy a welcome hot “glogi” drink to warm up yourself.
Reindeer Farm
You thought that reindeer only exists in cartoons during Christmas season? Think again!
At the reindeer farm, the reindeer herders will demonstrate how do you harness a reindeer and the drive a reindeer sledge. You get your chance to take up a reindeer driving test.
If qualified by a Lappish instructor, you will be awarded with a reindeer driver license valid for 5 years!
How cool is this? Imagine you telling your friends that you are a qualified reindeer driver. Of course, if you want to test your ability, they can sponsor you the trip to Finland!
Northern Lights
Northern lights are actually collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere. The lights are seen above the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres.
They are known as ‘Aurora borealis’ in the north and ‘Aurora australis’ in the south..
Auroral displays appear in many colours although pale green and pink are the most common.
Isn’t this seem magical?
Though magical, northern lights are subject to weather conditions. Thus, whether you manage to see the northern lights does depend a little on your luck!
Husky Farm
Imagine yourself being pulled on a sled by huskies?
That will be the wildest dream of any kid.
Upon reaching the Husky Farm, you will be greeted by enthusiastic dogs. A trainer will gives you instruction on how to control the sled and you will ride in pairs.
Have a good ride!
Santa Claus Village
When you are at Finland, do not forget to visit Rovaniemi, “Gateway to the Lapland” and the hometown of Santa Claus.
At the Santa Claus Village, you can have an opportunity to do early or late Christmas shopping for lapp handicrafts, souvenirs, knit wear, Lapp food specialties and etc.
If you get to see Santa Claus, you must get a photograph taken together!
So are you falling in love with Finland? If you are, remember to check out the tour packages, which are usually announced in Aug (to coincide with Natas Fair).
The package price to Finland? Well, it costs about SGD4385 (include airport taxes and surcharges), factoring Pre Natas or Natas discount of $200/pax.
I must make it to Finland one day. I just love the exciting activities!
Cheers
Karen
