We have come to our final post on our weekend getaway at 2 bedroom villa at Marriott Mai Khao Beach Resort, Phuket.

Here are the survival tips to enjoy a wonderful vacation there:-

(1) Relaxing Getaway

Come with a correct mindset.

Mai Khao beach is very peaceful, unlike the busy Patong beach. This means that you can enjoy a relaxing vacation at Mai Khao but you may miss the fun at Patong Beach.

If you are an outdoor person, be sure to book some land tours which offer you hotel pick up. Alternatively, you can rent a car and self drive to Patong beach too!

(2) Self -Drive if you want to explore beyond Mai Khao beach

The lobby at Marriott Mai Khao Beach Resort can call in cab for you, but the prices are high. Thus, if you do not want to feel paying for high cab fees, then self drive.

If you intend to just laze around Mai Khao beach, take the resort’s complimentary buggy to JW Marriott Resort & Spa.

(3) Utilize the Kids Club

If you have young kids, utilize the kids club. They plan daily activities for your kids and most of them are free of charge. So while your kids are having fun, you can take time to explore the resort and the nearby JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa.

(4) Enjoy a swim with your kids and family

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the pool and don’t forget to hunt for the free ice-pops to cool yourselves down.

For the adults, check out the adult activities such as aqua aerobics.

(5) Enjoy your DIY spa in your villa
Couple massage is expensive at Marriott. Why don’t create your own DIY spa in your own villa? Bring along some facial masks, body scrubs, scented candles and have a romantic bath with your loved one.

(6) Eat at Coffee Club at Turtle Village

The food at Coffee club is affordable and delicious. At Baht 100 per pax, you can enjoy a good dinner. Coffee Club is within walking distance from Marriott Mai Khao Beach Resort.

(7) Enjoy a Slumberland

The beds are so comfortable that you are guaranteed a good sleep. You will wish that you can also create this slumber land back at home!

(8) Prepare the necessary toiletries

Save your space in your luggage. Marriott Mai Khao Beach Resort provides you with all the necessary toiletries like shampoo, bath foam, bath lotion, conditioner.

However, you have to prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

(9) Cook Up A Dish In The Kitchen

Do not spend money buying bottled water at the Turtle Village. Marriott Mai Khao Beach Resort provides up to 6 bottled water per day.

In addition, the kitchen is well stocked with plates and cutlery, hot water flash, tea and coffee.

For those who love to cook, you can consider cooking one of the meals or preparing a simple breakfast. You feel like you are staying in your own house in this villa.

(10) Have lots of family time together

The best part of this vacation is family time. The stay feels like at home. Watch the television together, bring a card game to play or chat over a nice cup of coffee.

(12) Treat yourselves to a buffet or in-villa dining

A vacation must come with a good meal. How about pampering yourselves to the buffet breakfast or dinner? You can even consider the in-villa dining!
