Hi Friends,
Ginza at Tokyo is probably best known as the high end shopping district, entertainment and dining. If you plan to stay in Ginza, the map below is helpful to decide on which hotel you will like to stay in.

We plan to visit the few departmental stores at Ginza, namely
Ginza Wako, Tokyo
The clock tower at Ginza Wako is the trademark building at Ginza, where you can find luxury items.
Matsuya, Tokyo
Opens from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m, this departmental store from Nagoya offers shoppers 10 floors of shopping experience.
At this department store, you can also find our most loved Burberry Blue Label. Besides Burberry blue label, you can also find Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari.
Marronier Gate, Tokyo
Opens from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Marrionier Gate is a 12 floor department store, where one can find clothes, restaurants, Tokyu Hands Departmental Store.
Buberry Blue Label, Ginza
Burberry Blue label line is created for younger crowd. Thus, the colors are made more trendy and prices more affordable. Some people said that quality of Burberry blue label is not as good as Burberry line from London.
I got my first Burberry blue label in Dec 2008 and am still using it daily. During that time, I spent around SGD450 for the lovely bag and used it for 2 years plus. So I have no complaints about the quality.
There is a dedicated Burberry Store at Ginza, which is located next to Toy Museum shop. This big Burberry store has black label at upper levels and blue label at basement. Where you find departmental stores like Mitsukoshi, you can walk towards Shimbashi station. You will see the store on your right before you reach Shimbashi station.
Often, I saw many Japanese tourists buying bags and bags of LV in Singapore. My thought is LV must be very expensive in Japan. So this time, I am checking out LV prices in Japan to see what is the difference.
Luxury brands like LV is cheaper in Europe as compared to Singapore.
A friend who recently came back from Europe bought LV at about SGD500 cheaper per bag there as compared to Singapore. However, she also updated that tourist is now restricted to buy only 1 LV bag per country in Europe. How exactly does the shop track , I have no idea?
Not sure if I am still going to buy any burberry blue label this time as I have been spending quite a bit on Coach and LV handbags last year. But I am definitely checking out burberry blue label stores in March 2011. Ohhhhh, I love handbags!
Cheers,
Karen
