Vacation Deprivation Study 2011

Hi Friends,
The Vacation Deprivation Study 2011 revealed that Singaporeans are the world’s most hardworking employees. But..it also signals us that we should start learning how to plan to take vacation breaks!
I found this study from Expedia. This is a summary of the results of 2011 Vacation Deprivation Study, an annual analysis of vacation habits and attitudes over 7800 employed people across 20 countries globally.
1) Singaporeans clock in an average of 44 working hours a week, claiming the title of the world’s most dedicated workforce.
2) Singaporeans cannot stop ‘workcationing’, with 81% of Singaporeans admitting to checking-in on work while away on vacation.
Looks like we deserve some good holidays. Travel budget does not seem to be a constraint, but affording the time to go off work is a real issue.
Nevertheless, we should start learning how to tell our bosses that we really need to go a breaks!
Singaporeans, enjoy your holidays! No work on holidays please!
Cheers
Karen
